ANOTHER DAY

Every morning when I wake
And the sun hits my eyes,
I start to cry a little,
But then I realize,
Another day is gone,
Another day is new.
I’m another day closer
To being with you.
You crossed over the bridge
With a rainbow in the sky.
Another piece of my soul is torn,
With your image in my eye.
You shot across the night,
With the stars and the moon.
Although my heart aches,
I’ll be with you all soon.
Another day is over.
Another day is new.
I’m just another day closer
To being with you.
